CUD Zaragoza currently offers one undergraduate programme and one postgraduate programme, both leading to qualifications awarded by the University of Zaragoza:

All of the students enrolled on the undergraduate programme at CUD Zaragoza are Spanish Army cadets undertaking their officer training. This means that as well as their university studies, the cadets also follow the general and specific military training delivered by the Academia General Militar. All candidates have successfully passed the corresponding selection procedure administered by the Spanish Ministry of Defence.

Masters degree in Management and Administration of Procurement of Defence Systems

·         Credits: 60 ECTS

·         Duration: 2 years

·         Study mode: Part-time

This postgraduate programme is open to military professionals who work directly within the areas of procurement and supply and also to non-military professionals who work for companies and institutions that are regular suppliers to the Spanish armed forces.

CUD Zaragoza is currently designing a new four-year undergraduate programme that will replace the current programme over the coming years. Likewise, a new Masters programme will accompany the postgraduate programme that is currently delivered by the institution and a new PhD programme will also become part of the portfolio of programmes offered in the coming years.

Teaching and learning at CUD Zaragoza

CUD Zaragozaemploys a student-centred approach to teaching, learning and assessment which applies a wide variety of active methodologies aimed at helping the student to become immersed in their learning.

In this context, the teacher becomes a guide and facilitator in the learning process while the student has the opportunity to develop soft skills and learns how to think, to resolve problems, to take decisions, to work in teams etc, as well as how to reflect on what they are learning.

CUD Zaragoza has formal procedures Integrated into its quality assurance system that establish the adequate design and planning of teaching, learning and assessment strategiesthat are suited to the nature of its study programmes. Within this philosophy, continuous assessment has been established as a norm for perfectioning the student’s learning process.

Learning outcomes, as described in the Academic Guides for each subject, are declarations on what we expect the student to know, understand and be able to do once they have completed a determined period of learning. These statements provide essential information to both the subject lecturers and the student when coming face-to-face with the teaching and learning process and the subsequent assessment phase.

The teaching staff at CUD Zaragoza are committed to innovation in their professional practice and every year launch new projects aimed at the continuous improvement of the teaching and learning processes at the institution. Lecturers can participate in the annual CUD Zaragoza call for teaching innovation projects and also the calls organised by the University of Zaragoza.
