Conference venue

Workshop sessions will take place in the "Aula Magna" of the Centro Universitario de la Defensa de Zaragoza, which is located in the Academia General Militar. You can see the exact location on the following map:

During the workshop itself (September 1-4), there will be a free bus from Zaragoza to the Centro Universitario de la Defensa (CUD). The bus stop will be at the street “Echegary y Caballero”, just behind the “Basílica del Pilar”. You can consult the various venues here:

The bus will pick up participants at the following times and places:

September 1st: Zaragoza at 8:00. CUD at 18:20

September 2nd: Zaragoza at 8:15. CUD at 18:50

September 3rd: Zaragoza at 8:15. CUD at 18:20

September 4th: Zaragoza at 8:15. CUD at 14:15

Preliminary Minicourses

These preliminary courses will be held at the Faculty of Science at the University of Zaragoza (C/ Pedro Cerbuna, 12).

How to get to Zaragoza

  • By plane Zaragoza airport is located 10 km away from the city center. There are direct flights from several Spanish cities There is a bus service from the airport to the city center and the ticket costs 1.70 €

  • By bus The company that offers the largest number of connections with Zaragoza is Alsa. There exist direct connections from Madrid and Barcelona airports to the Zaragoza bus station. The bus and train stations in Zaragoza are together and the name of the station is Zaragoza Delicias. From the station, bus number 51 will take you to the city center.

  • By train Zaragoza is perfectly connected by high velocity train with Madrid and Barcelona. The trip takes only 1 hour and a half and there are many trains during the day. You can find further information on the Renfe webpage.

  • By car The main routes to come to Zaragoza by car are the motorways A-2 (Zaragoza-Barcelona, Madrid-Zaragoza) and A-68 (Zaragoza-Bilbao).
